Depot Park in Whitefish MT
Kids Parade at 10am
Race at 11am
Raffle at 1pm
We got a little bored with having ‘just another 5k’ and will be revamping this event from head to toe!
Run Solo or in Teams of 3-5. Solve clues and collect coupons that will help you complete the Mega Clue for extra points! Not a big runner, that is okay! Create a team with a good mix of brains and speed and work smarter not harder. There is a great mix of clues, physical challenges, and running to keep everyone busy!
This is a great opportunity to visit and save money at local shops all while supporting our Whitefish Community.
All proceeds go to benefit the Fish Trails, the pedestrian bike path around Whitefish.
Rules: This is a foot race, no wheels are allowed. This includes cars, buses, taxis, skateboards, bikes, roller skates, or anything performance enhancing, Wheelchairs are the only exception. Good Sportsmanship is a MUST! If anyone is caught sabotaging, insulting, or degrading another team they will be disqualified. This also means if you see someone get hurt, help them. Remember this is a family event, language and behavior should reflect that. Participants MUST ADHERE TO LOCAL AND STATE LAWS! This means watching for traffic, not putting others at risk, even if they are in a car. This means listening to local authorities, they are there for your safety, not to help you win a race. You can collect coupons however you want, if you see someone running out of a location with a coupon, go and get one too. But no coupons will be counted towards the final score unless it matches the right clue. Brains and Brawn, a mighty combo!
Clues: Clues will direct you to a location or a business. There will be an employee or volunteer at every destination to hand you a coupon, the business on the coupon will be what you need for the clue to be answered correctly.
Challenges: Some of your options will direct you to a place. These will be challenges. No need to figure out what a “clue” means, just run to the place and complete the challenge. All challenges will be physical and will not be dangerous (no tight rope walking and no eating gross foods). They will take a little more energy, but a great option for those who are ready to Rock It!
Location: Depot Park in Whitefish (next to train station, Parks & Recreation and the O’Shaughnessy Center.
More Rules: Smart phones are allowed, feel free to google information or phone a friend. Specifics on how the results will be tallied will be announced at the start of the race! Sign up today, this is going to be FUN!
